Sajan Ji holds a Master’s degree in Yoga, but his real education came from years of personally studying meditation and yogic philosophy, long before it became his profession. He also trained and worked as a motivational speaker, which gives him a skill many yoga teachers don’t have — the ability to hold a room and genuinely connect with people through words, not just through postures. Over the past ten years, he has combined both sides of his training into a style that feels calm on the surface but carries real energy underneath.
Sajan believes that the modern chase for money and success is quietly making people more stressed, anxious, and disconnected from themselves, and he sees this as a pattern that needs to be broken, not just managed with quick fixes. His classes are built around this belief. Rather than offering vague relaxation talk, he teaches specific, practical meditation methods that students can genuinely use, both during training and for years afterward. His Yoga Philosophy sessions go hand in hand with his meditation classes, helping students connect the “why” behind ancient yoga texts to the practice they do every single morning, so the two never feel like separate subjects.
Many students specifically remember his voice, especially during mantra chanting sessions, and describe his classes as one of the more emotionally memorable parts of their training. His sessions are less about performing meditation correctly and more about learning tools students can actually rely on when life gets stressful, long after they’ve left Rishikesh.
He leads: Meditation and Yoga Philosophy classes in all Rishikesh TTC programmes, and the Yin Yoga Teacher Training.
