Discipline In Our Yoga Community

Disciplines You Need To Follow In Our Yoga Community

At Vinyasa Yoga Academy, discipline is a practice we choose from within, and it begins the moment you arrive. Our Bali training community is rooted in the teachings of Karma Yoga: selfless service, self-inquiry, and conscious living. These principles shape how you share spaces, how you eat, sleep, and show up for your fellow students and teachers every single day. The Balinese spirit of 'Tri Hita Karana', i.e., harmony with people, nature, and the divine, quietly leads everything here, making Bali a uniquely powerful place to truly practice what you learn.

As a student in this programme, you are asked to maintain a sattvic way of living during your yoga training. This means keeping personal and shared spaces clean, refraining from meat, fish, eggs, alcohol, and tobacco, and embracing the early-morning schedule with commitment. These are not restrictions, but tools. They sharpen your focus, calm your nervous system, and create the internal conditions where core shift through learning becomes possible.

  • Every Thursday is observed as a Silence Day, following the traditional practice of "Moana Vratham"
  • Students are encouraged to sleep by 9:30 PM to support the physical demands and early rhythm of the daily schedule

Hi, greetings to everyone I am Miguel from Ecuador and I would like to highly recommend this School for many reasons, the common ones like the teaching, accommodation (it is located in a silent place up hill), food (good for your health), but, for me the main feature is the way they treat you as a human being which is the essence of yoga, I love the persons in charge of Vinyasa Yoga Academy who helped me unconditionally, from the bottom of my heart thanks to Suraj, Arun, Monica, Alok, Vishnu and all the rest.

Our 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate offers a beautiful foundation for students who wish to continue later toward a complete 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training journey.

With your VYA 100-hour certificate, you can begin assisting in yoga classes, support experienced teachers, offer guided sessions within your comfort level, and continue building your skills as you work toward full certification.

And for those serious about teaching yoga professionally, this 100-hour training is an ideal first building block toward the full 200 Hour YTTC, which is the internationally recognised Yoga Alliance standard. Many students complete both programmes in a single extended visit to Bali, leaving with everything they need to teach confidently anywhere in the world.

To be clear: There is no RYT 100 certification. And this course does not independently award a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 certificate either. What it does give you is structured, authentic training in asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, and anatomy — training that holds real value wherever you go next.

Become A Successful Yoga Teacher

We Are Giving Back To Society

Yoga has always meant more to us than postures and breathing techniques. From the very beginning, Vinyasa Yoga Academy was built on the belief that real yoga lives in how you treat the world around you. Rishikesh gave us a home, a community, and a purpose, and giving back to this land is something we feel in our bones, not something we planned on a whiteboard.

Over the years, we have worked closely with orphanages in Rishikesh, bringing meals, shelter support, and yoga to children who needed steadiness in their lives. We have also run health awareness camps for families in the local area who rarely get access to basic medical guidance, simple sessions on hygiene, preventive care, and healthy habits that most of us take for granted. We take pride in conducting cleaning initiatives to make the environment cleaner, and we actively advocate waste management methods to improve the community's general health.

Questions You May Have

FAQ - 100 Hours Yoga TTC In Bali

Who Can Join 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali?

The programme is open to anyone aged 18 and above. If you are a beginner, a regular practitioner, a wellness professional, or just a curious traveller, and you feel ready to start, you are ready to join.

Do I Need Prior Yoga Experience To Join The 100 Hour YTTC in Bali?

No. This course is built to welcome complete beginners. What matters is genuine interest and willingness to commit to the daily schedule.

Is The 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training In Bali Yoga Alliance Certified?

No. This course is conducted at a Yoga Alliance-registered school, but the 100-hour training itself is not a standalone certification. It counts toward the full 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training required for Yoga Alliance (RYT 200) registration.

Can I Register With Yoga Alliance After The 100 Hour Course?

This is a common confusion. There is no Yoga Alliance RYT 100 certificate. To get certified by Yoga Alliance, you will need to complete an additional 100 hours through a 200 Hour YTTC with a Yoga Alliance-registered school.

How Long Is The 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course In Bali?

The programme runs for 10 days. Sessions begin at 5:00 AM, and the evening schedule concludes by around 6:00 PM, with structured practice, theory, self-study, and meals integrated throughout.

Is There Any Accommodation Option Available In The 100 Hour YTTC At VYA In Bali?

Yes, accommodation is included with the full package. We have private and shared room options available. Check the dates and pricing section to know the full breakdown.

Where Exactly Is The Academy Located In Bali?

Vinyasa Yoga Academy's Bali campus is located in Ubud, a peaceful and spiritually vibrant area known for its rich culture and natural beauty. For more information, email us at contact@vinyasayogaacademy.com.

What Is The Best Time Of Year To Do Yoga Teacher Training In Bali?

Bali has a tropical climate and is welcoming all year round. The dry season, from April to October, is especially popular, with clear skies and mild days ideal for outdoor yoga. VYA Bali runs the 100 hour YTT course once a month for the entire year. You may pick dates that best suit your schedule.

What Certifications Does Vinyasa Yoga Academy Hold?

Vinyasa Yoga Academy is a Yoga Alliance RYS 500-registered school and is ISO-certified (9001:2015) as well. Our accreditation guarantees that your training and our teaching carry the highest global standard and recognition.

Can I Upgrade To The 200 Hour YTTC After Completing 100 Hours?

Yes, for sure. The 100 Hour YTT course is designed as a direct lead into the 200 Hour teacher training course. You may complete the remaining 100 hours directly after this course or at any time preferred by you. After completing the full 200 hours, you are eligible to register for Yoga Alliance RYT 200.

Will Bali Be Safe For My Yoga Teacher Training Journey?

Yes. Bali is known as one of the safest and friendliest places on earth for yoga students and wellness tourists. Balinese culture is warm, respectful, and spiritual, and it truly supports the yogic and meditative inner work.

What Kind Of Food Will I Be Eating During Training In Bali?

All meals included in the programme are freshly cooked sattvic vegetarian food — the traditional yogic diet. Light, wholesome, and nourishing, the food is carefully planned to keep your energy steady and your digestion comfortable. Lunch and dinner on Sundays are not included on campus; students can dine at excellent nearby vegan and healthy restaurants.

Can I Teach Yoga Professionally After The 100 Hour Course?

It qualifies you to offer private sessions, assist in studios, lead wellness workshops, or work at retreat centres. However, it is not sufficient for Yoga Alliance RYT 200 registration or complete professional teaching on its own. For the full professional certification, the 200 Hour YTTC is the recommended next step.

Will There Be Teaching Practice During The 100 Hour Course?

Yes. The 100 Hour YTT programme will take you through basic teaching methodology, class structure, and guided yoga practice. It's an initial experience that will help build self-confidence and a particular practice style for your future teaching career.

What Language Is The Course Taught In?

All sessions are taken in plain conversational language and are conducted entirely in English. Our expert teachers have welcomed students from more than 100 countries over the years and are skilled in making complex yogic concepts accessible and inclusive to all, irrespective of their origin, language, creed, or race.
