Vinyasa Yoga Academy
The 200 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Bali is a 20-day Yoga Alliance-certified residential programme at Vinyasa Yoga Academy. It covers Kundalini asana, kriya yoga practices for kundalini awakening, pranayama, chakra science, mantra, bandha, kundalini tantra mudra, yoga nidra, subtle body anatomy, yoga therapy, Shatkarma, and the philosophy and teaching methodology of the Kundalini tradition. On completion, you receive a 200 hrs Kundalini YTTC completion certificate from VYA that qualifies you to register for Yoga Alliance RYT 200 certification.
We carry our teaching lineage from Rishikesh, the source of the Kundalini and Tantric tradition in India, to Bali with full integrity. Every module is led by an E-RYT 500-certified instructor with at least 10 years of dedicated Kundalini experience.
The 200 Hour Kundalini YTTC in Bali is both a full professional certification and a direct pathway into the 300 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training for those who want to make a career in yoga.

Understanding The Basics
Kundalini Yoga is one of the oldest and most complete systems of yoga, working on the body, mind, breath, and energy all at the same time. Unlike other styles of yoga that focus mainly on physical postures, Kundalini Yoga works on multiple layers of the human system at once. A single Kundalini kriya can calm your nervous system, balance your hormones, sharpen your focus, and open your energy pathways — all in one session.
A Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training is where the practice stops being something you do and becomes something you understand. You learn the science behind the kriyas, the philosophy behind the tradition, and the skills to guide others through an experience as powerful as this one deserves to be.
Kundalini Yoga works on multiple layers of your system at once — nervous system, hormones, focus, and the subtle energy body. A single kriya can do what most modalities take weeks to deliver, which is why it is such a complete practice.
On completion of the 200 Hour Kundalini YTTC, you receive a VYA completion certificate that qualifies you to register as a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 — a credential accepted by studios, wellness centres, and retreat facilities worldwide.
This 200 Hour Kundalini course is the direct foundation for the 300 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training, where you go further into the science of awakening, refine your teaching, and add advanced specialisations.
Course Structure
The 200 Hour Kundalini YTTC at Vinyasa Yoga Academy Bali delivers all 200 hours through a transparent combination of live kundalini teaching, guided kriya practice, and integrated self-study — all within your 20 days on campus.
Day by day, this rhythm builds the discipline, awareness, and energetic sensitivity required of a Kundalini teacher. Each subject is revisited regularly so that knowledge is layered through immersion rather than taught in long, isolated blocks — the traditional gurukul method that makes residential training in Bali noticeably different from the same number of hours spread across weekends at home.
Our Milestones
Celebrating Our Journey Through Remarkable Achievements.Inclusions and Requirements
The 200 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Bali at Vinyasa Yoga Academy is a complete 20-day residential programme in Ubud, Bali. Everything is taken care of so that you can arrive, settle in, and focus entirely on your training from day one. Your accommodation, daily sattvic meals, study materials, yoga equipment, and all on-campus needs are fully covered from the moment you arrive.
Discipline In Our Yoga Community
At Vinyasa Yoga Academy, discipline is a practice we choose from within, and it begins the moment you arrive. Our Bali training community is rooted in the teachings of Karma Yoga: selfless service, self-inquiry, and conscious living. These principles shape how you share spaces, how you eat, sleep, and show up for your fellow students and teachers every single day. The Balinese spirit of 'Tri Hita Karana', i.e., harmony with people, nature, and the divine, quietly leads everything here, making Bali a uniquely powerful place to truly practice what you learn.
As a student in this programme, you are asked to maintain a sattvic way of living during your yoga training. This means keeping personal and shared spaces clean, refraining from meat, fish, eggs, alcohol, and tobacco, and embracing the early-morning schedule with commitment. These are not restrictions, but tools. They sharpen your focus, calm your nervous system, and create the internal conditions where core shift through learning becomes possible.

How Your Day Looks Like
During the 200 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Course, the day opens at 5:00 AM with kundalini sadhana. From there it builds: kundalini, pranayama and meditation, kundalini theory and asana, teaching practice, and self-study, with each session flowing into the next with the logic of the practice itself.
Mornings are for the body and breath. Afternoons are for the mind. Evenings bring everything back to stillness. By 10:00 PM, lights are out. Lights off by 10:00 PM supports the physical demands of the early morning schedule and is necessary for the depth of what you'll process each day. 20 days of this rhythm does something to you that no weekend workshop can replicate.
Sundays are reserved for excursions — guided visits to Balinese temples, beach meditation sessions, and local cultural experiences. Lunch and dinner are not provided on Sundays, but you can enjoy local cuisine at nearby affordable cafes and restaurants. The schedule below reflects a standard training day, Monday through Saturday.

Who Is This Course For
The 200 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training programme is open to anyone aged 18 and above. No prior yoga or Kundalini experience is necessary, as the course is taught step-by-step from foundational principles.
Whether you are completely new to yoga, an experienced practitioner, or someone searching for deeper personal transformation, this immersive training is designed to guide you through the authentic path of Kundalini Yoga.
Why Vinyasa Yoga Academy
Bali draws yoga students from every corner of the world, and there is no shortage of schools to choose from. But location alone does not make a training worth your time or money. What makes the difference is who is teaching, what they actually know, and whether the curriculum goes deep enough to change how you understand the practice. That is what we have built at Vinyasa Yoga Academy.
Vinyasa Yoga Academy is a registered Yoga Alliance RYS 500 school and also Our 200 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training follows Yoga Alliance guidelines, making you eligible to apply for RYT 200 certification upon completion.
Our founding campus is in Rishikesh, the geographical and spiritual source of the Kundalini lineage in India. We bring that unbroken tradition to Bali, where the island's particular spiritual atmosphere creates a context for inner work that is rare. Our curriculum is rooted in the Tantric and Shakti traditions of India, which our Rishikesh campus has been upholding for over 15 years.
Kundalini is increasingly being packaged as a wellness experience — breathwork here, a kriya there, some mantra for atmosphere. That is not what we teach. At Vinyasa Yoga Academy, you learn why each kriya is structured the way it is, what it does to the nervous system, and how it moves energy through specific pathways in the body. When you finish, you'll understand what is actually happening when you teach.
At Vinyasa Yoga Academy, each of the 14 subjects is taught by an expert E-RYT 500 teacher with over 10 years of experience in the specific field. Your anatomy session is taught by someone who has spent a decade studying it. Your philosophy session is taught by someone whose daily life is shaped by yogic philosophy.
Kundalini Yoga works at the level of your energy and your nervous system. That kind of practice requires a teacher who can actually see you, not manage a room of 40 people. We limit every batch to 15 to 20 students so that your teachers know where you are each day, can adjust when something is not landing, and can give you the individual attention that makes the difference between completing a course and genuinely transforming through one.
More than 10,000 students have trained across VYA's campuses (Bali and Rishikesh). They come from over 60 countries and consistently rate their experience 4.8 out of 5 on Google, Trustpilot, and Yoga Alliance.
A portion of your course fee goes directly back into the local Balinese community. Through our initiatives of social help, you don't only remain a visitor — you contribute to the process of positive impact and local support.

Become A Successful Yoga Teacher
Yoga has always meant more to us than postures and breathing techniques. From the very beginning, Vinyasa Yoga Academy was built on the belief that real yoga lives in how you treat the world around you. Rishikesh gave us a home, a community, and a purpose, and giving back to this land is something we feel in our bones, not something we planned on a whiteboard.
Over the years, we have worked closely with orphanages in Rishikesh, bringing meals, shelter support, and yoga to children who needed steadiness in their lives. We have also run health awareness camps for families in the local area who rarely get access to basic medical guidance, simple sessions on hygiene, preventive care, and healthy habits that most of us take for granted. We take pride in conducting cleaning initiatives to make the environment cleaner, and we actively advocate waste management methods to improve the community's general health.
