Understanding The Basics

What Is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini Yoga is one of the oldest yoga traditions that focuses on awakening the energy that sits at the base of your spine. Using asanas, breathwork, mantra, mudra, and meditation, this practice works to open your chakras and get that energy moving through your body. It is not a workout — it touches your mind, your emotions, and something much deeper inside you.

A Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training takes this a step further. You learn how to teach these practices to others: asanas, pranayama, chakra work, mantra, and meditation in a way that is grounded and real. This training changes you as a person before it makes you a teacher. By the time you finish, you do not just have a certificate in your hand — you have knowledge that actually stays with you and something worth passing on to your students.

  • Advanced Kriya and Chakra Science

Go far beyond kriyas and chanting — dive deep into the mechanics of energy awakening, chakra science, and subtle body anatomy as taught in the Himalayan tradition.

  • Builds You As A Teacher First

This training changes you as a person before it makes you a teacher — so the knowledge you pass on is lived, not borrowed.

  • Qualifies You As An RYT-500

Combine this with your 200-hour certificate to register with Yoga Alliance USA as an RYT-500 — one of the most respected advanced yoga credentials worldwide.

Course Structure

Understanding The Structure Of The 300 Hour Kundalini YTTC In Rishikesh

The 300 hour curriculum is organised around the advanced pillars of Kundalini Yoga and covers 21 advanced subject modules across the full 29 days of the programme — each taught by an experienced, subject-focused teacher so the depth you receive in every area is genuine, advanced and built for serious practitioners.

Each subject is revisited through the course so rather than studying one topic for a week and moving on, you return to every subject consistently. This repetition — the traditional gurukul method — is what makes 29 days of genuine immersion noticeably different from the same number of hours spread across weekends at home.

Discipline In Our Yoga Community

Discipline and a Yogic Lifestyle in Our Community

Joining us here isn't just about showing up for a class — it's about becoming part of something a little deeper. At Vinyasa Yoga Academy, we live and learn together as a small community, and that shared experience is honestly one of the most meaningful parts of the journey.

We follow the spirit of Karma Yoga in our day-to-day life, which means showing up with care for yourself, for others and for the space around you. Something as simple as keeping your room tidy, arriving on time, or being mindful of the people around you might seem small, but these small acts quietly build the kind of focus and inner steadiness that no single class ever could.

When it comes to lifestyle, we keep things simple and clean. All meals here are vegetarian, and we ask everyone to avoid alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and non-vegetarian food during their stay. This isn't about rules for the sake of rules — it's about creating an environment where your mind stays clear, your body feels balanced and you can actually be fully present in what you came here to do.

I had a wonderful experience studying yoga at vinyasa yoga academy. The staff is amazing and each teacher brings a unique personality and flair to the class, which keeps the long days interesting. The school is located at the top of a hill off a main road and is quiet. Our program was with 13 people and we all became great friends. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Become A Successful Yoga Teacher

We Are Giving Back To Society

Yoga has always meant more to us than postures and breathing techniques. From the very beginning, Vinyasa Yoga Academy was built on the belief that real yoga lives in how you treat the world around you. Rishikesh gave us a home, a community, and a purpose, and giving back to this land is something we feel in our bones, not something we planned on a whiteboard.

Over the years, we have worked closely with orphanages in Rishikesh, bringing meals, shelter support, and yoga to children who needed steadiness in their lives. We have also run health awareness camps for families in the local area who rarely get access to basic medical guidance, simple sessions on hygiene, preventive care, and healthy habits that most of us take for granted. We take pride in conducting cleaning initiatives to make the environment cleaner, and we actively advocate waste management methods to improve the community's general health.

Questions You May Have

FAQ – 300 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training

Do I Need A 200-Hour Certification Before Joining This Course?

Yes. This is an advanced training, so a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training from any Yoga Alliance-recognised school is required before you join. It gives you the foundation that this course builds on.

Will I Qualify For RYT-500 After This Training?

Yes. Once you have both your 200-hour and 300-hour certifications from Yoga Alliance-recognised schools, you can register directly with Yoga Alliance USA as an RYT-500 teacher — the highest level of professional yoga teaching credential available globally.

Is Food And Accommodation Included In The 300 Hours Kundalini YTTC Fee?

Yes, both are included. You get a comfortable place to stay and three sattvic vegetarian meals every day throughout your training. For any specific queries, you can call us at +91-8755744872.

What If I Need Help During The Course?

Our team stays on campus throughout your training. Whether it is about your classes, your room, or anything else, someone from the team is always available to help you sort it out.

What Is The Cancellation Policy?

The booking amount is non-refundable, but if something comes up you can move it to a future batch within one year as long as you inform us beforehand. Call +91-8755744872 for details.

Will I Learn Traditional Kundalini Yoga Or The Western Style?

You will learn the traditional Himalayan approach — real Kriya practice, Pranayama, mantra, and meditation. This is not a fitness-based or simplified version. The focus is on giving you genuine knowledge and practical teaching skills.

How Long Is The Daily Schedule For The 300 Hours Kundalini Yoga TTC Program?

Your day starts at 5:00 AM and wraps up around 9:00 PM. In between you have asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, and personal journaling time. It is an intensive schedule but it is structured in a way that builds you up progressively each day.

Are The Teachers Qualified In Kundalini Yoga Specifically?

Yes. Every teacher at Vinyasa Yoga Academy holds an E-RYT 500 certification and has at least 10 years of teaching experience in their subject. Each subject is taught by a specialist, so you always learn from someone who knows that topic deeply — not just one teacher handling everything.

Is Airport Pickup Included?

Yes. We provide a free pickup from Dehradun Airport for all students. Just share your flight details with our admin team and your transfer to the campus will be arranged. Call +91-8755744872 for more information.

Can I Join Extra Healing Sessions During The Training?

Yes. During your stay you can attend Sound Healing, Reiki, Ayurveda Therapy, Inner Child Healing, Vedic Astrology, and more. Some of these are complimentary and some are available at a special rate. They are optional but most students find them very valuable.

What Study Materials Will I Receive?

You get a printed TTC manual, e-books, digital study materials, a Neti pot, rubber Neti, eye-cupping tools, and lifetime access to the online pre-recorded 300-Hour Kundalini Yoga course. A free 100-Hour Yoga Nidra TTC online is also included.

Is This Course Good Enough To Teach Kundalini Yoga Professionally?

Absolutely. This training is built specifically for people who want to teach Kundalini Yoga at a serious level. By the time you finish, you will know how to teach group classes, run workshops, design your own programmes, and guide students through Kundalini practices with real confidence.

Are Excursions Part Of The Training?

Yes. Cave meditation, Himalayan sunrise tours, visits to Kriya Yoga Ashram and Sivananda Ashram, Ganga Aarti, and weekly Ganga bank sadhana are all part of the programme. These are not extras — they are built into your training as part of the overall experience.

Can I Open My Own Yoga Studio After This Course?

Yes. With an RYT-500 credential and the depth of knowledge you gain here, you are fully equipped to open your own studio, run teacher training programmes, and build a serious career in Kundalini Yoga teaching and healing.
