Vinyasa Yoga Academy
Every child carries the capacity for stillness, joy, and self-awareness. This training teaches you how to unlock it.
Do you want to teach yoga in schools, run your own children's studio, or support your child through stress, emotions, and everyday challenges? The 95-Hour Kids Yoga Teacher Training in Bali (a 5-day course) at Vinyasa Yoga Academy gives you the practical tools, child psychology understanding, and professional certification to make that happen.
Set in Ubud, Bali, one of the world's most respected destinations for yoga and wellness education, this course is a dedicated, full-spectrum training built entirely around how children think, feel, move, and grow.
Registered with Yoga Alliance USA, this programme awards you the internationally recognised RCYT (Registered Children's Yoga Teacher) credential, which is accepted by schools, studios, retreat centres, and wellness organisations worldwide.
With guidance from specialist mentors with over 8 years of hands-on teaching experience, you will gain the knowledge, age-appropriate methods, and real classroom confidence to teach yoga to children aged 3 to 16, and to make a lasting difference in their lives.

Understanding Kids Yoga
Kids yoga is a hands-on, imaginative way of bringing yoga into a child's world, not by simplifying it, but by reshaping it into something they naturally respond to. Instead of structured routines, a kids' yoga class runs on stories, movement games, animal poses, music, and creative play.
Children are not sitting still and following instructions. They are heroes on an adventure, animals in a jungle, and trees in a storm, and in the middle of all that, they are breathing, stretching, and learning to be present without ever being told to. That experience, however, does not happen by accident. It happens because the teacher behind it understands children, not just yoga.
Teaching children yoga is a responsibility that goes far beyond knowing postures. Every age group thinks differently, responds uniquely, and needs something different from you. A toddler needs songs and silliness. A ten-year-old needs challenge and creativity. A teenager needs trust and space. A structured Kids Yoga Teacher Training gives you the child development knowledge, age-appropriate teaching methods, and real classroom confidence to work across all of these stages with skill and intention.
Course Structure
The 95-hour curriculum at Vinyasa Yoga Academy Bali is structured to deliver each hour through a focused combination of live teaching, guided practice, and pre-course home study — all within your 5 intensive days on campus in Ubud.
We offer a smarter, more balanced way to become a certified expert, blending pre-course flexible home study with focused on-campus learning and self-practice. This meets the full Yoga Alliance requirement for RCYT of 95 hours of teacher training.
Our Milestones
Celebrating Our Journey Through Remarkable Achievements.Inclusions and Requirements
The 5-day Kids Yoga Teacher Training Bali at Vinyasa Yoga Academy is a fully structured residential programme. From the moment you arrive, we include your accommodation, daily sattvic meals, yoga props, study materials, and completion certificate. The only things required of you are commitment and passion to learn and teach yoga.
Discipline In Our Yoga Community
At Vinyasa Yoga Academy, discipline is a practice we choose from within, and it begins the moment you arrive. Our Bali training community is rooted in the teachings of Karma Yoga: selfless service, self-inquiry, and conscious living. These principles shape how you share spaces, how you eat, sleep, and show up for your fellow students and teachers every single day. The Balinese spirit of 'Tri Hita Karana', i.e., harmony with people, nature, and the divine, quietly leads everything here, making Bali a uniquely powerful place to truly practice what you learn.
As a student in this programme, you are asked to maintain a sattvic way of living during your yoga training. This means keeping personal and shared spaces clean, refraining from meat, fish, eggs, alcohol, and tobacco, and embracing the early-morning schedule with commitment. These are not restrictions, but tools. They sharpen your focus, calm your nervous system, and create the internal conditions where core shift through learning becomes possible.

How Your Day Looks Like
The daily schedule for the Kids Yoga Training Bali is intuitive, structured, and easy to follow. Your day begins at 5:00 AM with pranayama and personal practice, then proceeds through yoga theory, children's anatomy, teaching methodology, class sequencing, self-study, and evening meditation.
Meals, rest breaks, and self-study periods are built into the routine, so the learning has time to settle. This steady daily routine helps you stay focused, develop a teaching style, and genuinely absorb what you are being taught, rather than simply sitting through a packed schedule.
Note: Sunday is a free day. We organise excursion tours that are part of the full programme and included in the course fees.

Why Vinyasa Yoga Academy
There are dozens of schools offering kids yoga teacher training in Bali. The differences that matter are not found in the words. They are found in the teaching room.
Every children's yoga training session at Vinyasa Yoga Academy is led by instructors with over 10 years of experience teaching and preparing future instructors. These practitioners have spent years in actual classrooms, observing how children learn, adapting their methods, and refining their approach.
A five-year-old and a thirteen-year-old are not the same kind of student. The 95-hour Kids Yoga Training curriculum at VYA is built around child psychology and development, so you understand exactly what changes at each stage of childhood and what that means for how you design your classes.
Understanding how food affects a child's energy, focus, and emotional balance makes you a genuinely holistic educator. The VYA curriculum includes a dedicated children's nutrition module covering dietary needs from age 2 to 18, which most kids' yoga teacher training programmes miss.
The posture curriculum covers more than 70 asanas, with age-appropriate names and modifications, along with a full toolkit of breathing techniques, mindfulness games, storytelling frameworks, and group activities. You leave with practical resources you can use from your very first class.
We cap group sizes at 15 to 20 students. Your teaching demonstrations are actually watched. Your posture work is individually corrected. Your questions get real answers. In small groups, the feedback you receive is specific enough to actually change how you teach.
Vinyasa Yoga Academy is a Yoga Alliance-registered Registered Children's Yoga School (RCYS), meaning your 95-hour certificate is officially recognised toward RCYT registration.
With a consistent 4.8-star rating across Google, Trustpilot, and Yoga Alliance, and more than 10,000 alumni from over 60 countries, Vinyasa Yoga Academy has built its reputation on real student experiences — including hundreds of kids' yoga specialists now working in schools, studios, and wellness programmes worldwide.
Yoga Gurus and Faculty
All sessions in the 95-Hour Kids Yoga Teacher Training in Bali are led by specialist instructors with over 10 years of hands-on experience teaching children and training future kids' yoga teachers.
Each faculty member is an active Yoga Alliance member, rooted in authentic yogic tradition, and dedicated to passing on that knowledge with depth and genuine care. In Bali, surrounded by a culture that nurtures growth and the sacred in daily life, their teaching carries a quality that simply cannot be replicated elsewhere.

Questions You May Have
It is a specialised yoga teacher training programme that prepares you to teach yoga safely, creatively, and effectively to children of different ages. The curriculum includes age-appropriate postures, breathing techniques, child psychology, mindfulness games, storytelling, classroom management, children's nutrition, and hands-on teaching practice.
No prior yoga certification is required to join the training itself. However, if you plan to register as an RCYT with Yoga Alliance, you will also need an active RYT 200 (or higher) certification. You can complete both in any order, but both must be in place before applying for RCYT.
Yes, the 95-hour childrens yoga teacher training is open to anyone aged 18 and above, regardless of their yoga background. If you are a complete beginner to yoga practice itself, the programme will introduce you to the foundational practices you need alongside the children's teaching methodology.
Yes, provided the programme is registered with Yoga Alliance USA. Completing a Yoga Alliance-registered Kids Yoga Teacher Training allows you to apply for the RCYT credential, which is recognised by schools, studios, and wellness organisations across the world.
The training covers three developmental stages: toddlers and preschoolers (2–5 years), primary school children (6–12 years), and teenagers (13–18 years). For each group, you learn a different approach — how to speak to them, how to structure the class, which postures work, and how to keep them genuinely engaged at that stage of their growth.
RCYT stands for Registered Children's Yoga Teacher, which is a globally recognised Yoga Alliance speciality credential. In order to get it, you need three things: a completed 200-hour RYT certification from a Yoga Alliance-registered school, your 95-hour Kids Yoga certificate from Vinyasa Yoga Academy (a registered RCYS), and at least 30 documented hours of teaching children after your training. Once all three are in place, you can submit your application through the Yoga Alliance teacher dashboard.
In the nutrition module, we discuss children's dietary needs, including protein, fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy, and sugar. The module also addresses nutritional differences at different ages and the effect of food intake on a child's energy, concentration, and internal wellbeing.
Yes, the curriculum includes a core module on inclusive and special needs teaching and includes adapted approaches to teaching children with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and learning differences. This forms a basis for opportunities in special needs schools, therapy centres, and child development programmes.
Yes, accommodation costs are included in the course fee, with both private and shared room options available on campus in Ubud, Bali. Please review the dates and pricing section before paying the booking amount, or contact the team directly at contact@vinyasayogaacademy.com or +62-8132881810.
All included meals are freshly prepared, sattvic vegetarian meals that are light, wholesome, and designed to support active days of practice and learning. As Sundays are saved for excursions, lunch and dinner are not served on campus; Ubud's excellent range of vegan cafes and local restaurants is within easy reach and open for you to explore.
A standard yoga teacher training prepares you to teach adults. Kids' yoga training specifically prepares you to work with children across different age groups. The teaching methodology, language, safety considerations, and curriculum structure are entirely different from an adult 100, 200, 300, or 500-hour YTTC.
The 20% booking deposit is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, we will transfer you to a future batch. Just notify us at least 15 days before your start date. The transfer is valid for one year from your original booking. Write to us at contact@vinyasayogaacademy.com or call +62-8132881810.
Our training is led by Yoga Alliance certified specialists with over 8 years of actual classroom experience with children, not generalist teachers. We are a Yoga Alliance-registered RCYS. Our curriculum covers child psychology, nutrition, inclusive teaching, 70+ postures, and mindfulness — so by the time you leave, you are not just certified, you are genuinely ready to teach.
Yes, students are expected to follow a yogic routine and lifestyle throughout the duration of the course. Only a sattvic vegetarian diet is provided on campus, and alcohol, smoking, and non-vegetarian food are not allowed during the training period on campus.
The philosophy, anatomy, and sequencing we teach are based on a 500-year-old Himalayan tradition passed down through generations of masters. We bring this raw, technical, and academic rigour to every training we host in Bali, combined with modern child development science and contemporary teaching methods.
VYA offers paid airport pickup (only at $35 USD). Once you have booked your travel, please tell us your arrival details, and we can help arrange your travel to campus. Ride-sharing apps are another easy and accessible option.
Immerse yourself in authentic yoga, meditation, and yogic living. Learn from expert teachers, reconnect with your inner self, and gain a globally recognized certification in the yoga capital of the world.
Clarity Before You Book
All classes are mandatory. Only in the case of an emergency or illness can one take leave with a respected teacher's permission. Uninformed leaves won't be accepted and will affect the student's monthly performance.
